New York Mets shortstop Rey Ordonez was issued this gray Mets road jersey circa 1996-2002. These seven seasons encompass the totality of Ordonez’s Mets experience, with the slick fielder posting a .245 batting average with eight homers and 260 RBI as a Met. One of the best fielders in baseball, Ordonez won three consecutive Gold Glove awards between 1997 and 1999. This offered Mets jersey is a gray button-down, with “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. Ordonez’s number “0” is sewn on the chest and back in the same fashion. “ORDOÑEZ” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and orange tackle twill. A circular Mets logo is sewn on the left sleeve. An AIS tag with an attached size “42” flag is sewn on the inside of the back tail. Navy piping accents the chest and sleeves. Ordonez has signed the right chest of this jersey in blue marker. The jersey comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services and a LOA from noted baseball game used jersey expert William Henderson.
