Regarded as one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the sport, linebacker Lawrence Taylor revolutionized the way his position was played and was voted in to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. Playing his entire career for the Giants, LT wore this spectacular road jersey during the strike-shortened 1987 season where he still managed to lead the league in sacks. As one would expect, Taylor's white road jersey shows great game use with contact scuffs and a handful of clubhouse repairs to the body. The MacGregor Sand-Knit New York Giants label is sewn to the left front tail and size "44" and year "87" tagging is sewn below. Taylor's number "56" is in blue and red appliqué on the front, back and both sleeves. The sleeve ends and collar are trimmed in red and blue striped ribbing and "TAYLOR" is blue appliqué a white nameplate. LT has signed the front left shoulder in black marker adding "#56 Giants". Letter of Authenticity from MEARS who have awarded this piece of NFL history their highest grade of A10. PSA/DNA has authenticated the signature and a full LOA is included.
