Presented is a limited-edition Muhammad Ali signed “The Greatest” Looney Tunes poster print. The three-time world heavyweight boxing champion signed his name in blue marker in the lower right of the image on the poster, which depicts Ali standing over Sonny Liston after his shocking knock-out of the former champion in their second bout in May 1965, encircled by the cartoon cast of the Warner Brothers animation studios including Elmer Fudd as the referee, Bugs Bunny as the ringside doctor, Tweety as a reporter, Speedy Gonzales as a photographer, along with Road Runner, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the Cat and Mark Anthony the dog inside the ring. The photo is in black and white while the Looney Tunes characters are drawn in full color. Across the top center of the print is the legend “The Greatest” printed in gold script. The 18½ x 24½-inch white glossy stock poster is inscribed “PP 14/50” in black marker in the lower left corner. The print has the logo “Toon Art Inc. Limited Edition Lithograph” and the copyright 1999 in color in the lower left corner. The first bout between Ali, then Cassius Clay, and Liston was held on February 25, 1964 in Miami Beach, Florida. Clay, who was a 7–1 underdog, won in a major upset, when Liston gave up at the opening of the seventh round (after being clearly dominated in the sixth). Their second fight was in May 1965 in Lewiston, Maine, which Ali won with a first-round knockout. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
