Emmitt Smith was winding down his Hall of Fame-bound career when he donned this jersey for the Arizona Cardinals in 2004. Smith, the all-time leading rusher in NFL history, led the NFL in rushing yards during four seasons and rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 11 consecutive seasons. In his final season of 2004, Smith rushed for the last 937 yards of the 18,335 that still stands as the all-time career best. Smith’s jersey has been photo matched to the November 28, 2004 game against the visiting New York Jets.
The red mesh home jersey has Smith’s “22” on the front in white tackle twill with an NFL patch at the bottom of the V-neck collar. The left front tail has a Reebok/NFL label with size “46” and “04” hangtags. His number “22” is on each shoulder in white tackle twill and a Reebok patch on the right. The back has “E. SMITH” in white tackle twill on a red name plate above his number “22.” The jersey shows great game use with many turf marks and scuffs throughout. The back especially shows game use with turf staining on the white lettering and numbers, giving it a real “been there” look. The Hall of Famer has signed the first “2” on the back in bold black marker, completing this 2004 gamer. This jersey comes with a signed LOA from Emmitt Smith and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication, who have photo matched this jersey to the November 28, 2004 game.
