The 1939 Play Ball set is a black and white marvel. Teeming with Hall of Famers (including the rookie card of Ted Williams), the 1939 Play Ball set primarily contains head and shoulder shots with a moderate portion of posed action shots. The former reveal players in their relaxed state, most who are smiling and playing up to the fans. That is what makes this issue prime for autographs. Presented is a large group of 55 1939 Play Ball autographed cards (including 12 HOFers), a nice beginning to a fully autographed set. All have been PSA/DNA certified and encased in their protective holders. Each card is signed in either ink or Sharpie marker, mostly grading ("7-10").
