Stolen base king Rickey Henderson wore this black New York Mets alternate jersey during the 2000 MLB season. Henderson, the 1990 American League Most Valuable Player, played 31 games with the Mets in 2000 before his release in mid-May. Henderson stole five bases with the Mets in 2000, finishing the season with four homers, 32 RBI, and 36 stolen bases after spending the second half of the season with the Seattle Mariners. Henderson retired in 2003 as baseball’s all-time leader in runs scored (2,295) and stolen bases (1,406). The Oakland native was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009.

This offered Mets alternate jersey is a black button-down, with “NEW YORK” and Henderson’s number “24” sewn on the chest in blue, white, and orange tackle twill. “HENDERSON” and a second “24” are sewn on the back of the jersey in the same fashion. A Mets logo and a Rawlings logo are sewn on the left sleeve. Blue piping accents the chest and sleeves. A Rawlings tag with attached size “44”, “Minus 1 Inch”, “Sleeve Minus 1 Inch”, and “Set 2 2000” flags is sewn on the front left tail. The jersey shows light wear and comes with a LOA from noted baseball game used jersey expert William Henderson.
