Hall of Famer Eddie Murray spent his first season in Majors by hitting .283 and 27 home runs, earning him the American League Rookie of the Year Award. Throughout his entire career in Baltimore, Steady Eddie averaged 28 homers every year and helped lead the team to a World Series appearance in 1979. This 1977-79 Hillerich & Bradsby W248 model bat displays good game use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact that is present on the barrel. Murray’s number “33” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. Murray signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “1977 AL ROY”. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B07150) for the game use and has been given a high grade of GU 8, plus a LOA from JSA for the signature.
