Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Pose 0480. This N172 insert card delivers a beautifully focused image of Chicago White Sox outfielder Marty Sullivan. He played for that club during his first two seasons, then moved to Indianapolis for 1889. (The PSA label refers in error to both teams, when it should be one or the other. In this case, the design is properly described as "Strike, looking at approaching ball" and "Chicago.") This collectible, apparently harshly penalized in grading terms for insignificant stain-spots on the unprinted reverse, exhibits minimal evidence of past handling in the form of mild corner wear. A very nicely preserved and well-centered, 19th Century paper heirloom, in nominally Very Good to Excellent condition.
