Presented here is a 6 x 2 ¾ -inch check signed by the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan. A staunch conservative Republican who first rose to national acclaim as an actor, Reagan rode a rising tide of conservative sentiment to in the 1980 Presidential Election against incumbent Jimmy Carter. His “Morning in America” television ad during the 1984 Presidential Election where he won in a landslide against Democrat Walter Mondale, gave optimism to a country still reeling from the turmoil of the 1970s. Reagan wrote the check out for $30.00 on July 4, 1995 to a Mike Abrams Inc. The check, drawn from his personal account with Wells Fargo Bank, is labeled “Wells Fargo Bank” in embossed black cursive with “THE PRIVATE BANKING ACCOUNT” in gold at the top of the check. “PERSONAL ACCOUNT 2121 AVENUE OF THE STARS, 34th FL. LOS ANGELES, CA 90067” is located on the bottom left of the check. Reagan signed and inscribed the check using a black ballpoint pen. The check is in great condition and the ink and signature are still bold. The signed check from the 40th President comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (84289452) and is certified AUTHENTIC AUTO.
