Offered is a lot of two LeRoy Neiman signed lithographic prints of paintings by the noted American painter featuring Mickey Mantle and Casey Stengel. The first item in this lot is a LeRoy Neiman signature in black marker in the upper left of a 12 x 18-inch color print of his 1962 painting of Mickey Mantle with the legend “A Salute to Mickey Mantle July 28, 1996 Yankee Stadium” at the right margin reversed out in white on purple. The lower right margin features the logo of Chase and the Yankees. The back of the print features Mantle’s career statistics printed in black type. This item was given to fans in attendance at Yankee Stadium on that date, 11 months after the Hall of Fame Yankees centerfielder’s death. This item comes with a COA from JSA (II06166).

The second item in this lot is a LeRoy Neiman signature in black marker in the lower right of a 11 x 20-inch white poster print of the artist’s 1993 portrait of late New York Mets manager Casey Stengel. The print features the legend “A Salute to Casey Stengel on the 30th Anniversary of his election to the Hall of Fame” printed in blue, along with the logo of Chase and the Mets. This item was given to fans in attendance at Shea Stadium in July 1996. The back of the print features Stengel’s career stats as both a player and manager, printed in black type. This item comes with a COA from JSA (II06167).
