New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez wore this red Charleston RiverDogs jersey during the 2012 MiLB season. The Dominican backstop split his age-19 season between single-A Charleston and A+ Tampa, crushing 13 homers with 56 RBI and 11 steals in 68 games with the RiverDogs in the South Atlantic League. Sanchez reached the Major Leagues with a two-game cup-of-coffee in 2015 before his momentous 2016 rookie season that saw “The Kraken” slug 20 homers and hit .299 in only 53 games to finish second in the American League Rookie of the Year race.

This offered Charleston jersey is a red button-down, with “RIVERDOGS” sewn on the chest in navy, yellow, and white tackle twill. A Rawlings tag is sewn on the front left tail. Sanchez’s number “35” is sewn on the back of the jersey in navy and white tackle twill below a MiLB logo patch. An American flag patch and a Rawlings logo are present on the left sleeve, while an advertisement for General Dynamics is present on the right sleeve. A Rawlings size “50” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. Sanchez has signed the “5” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, inscribing “2012 Game Used” in addition to his signature. The jersey shows light wear and comes with both a RiverDogs COA and a LOA from JSA (BB01370).
