New York Mets outfielder Jay Bruce wore this gray Mets “Stars and Stripes” road jersey on July 4th, 2017 against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. Bruce connected on his 21st homer of the 2017 season in this game, taking Oliver Perez deep in the top of the ninth inning, plating Asdrubal Cabrera and cutting New York’s deficit to 11-4. This was the 262nd of Bruce’s 318 career home runs. The former Cincinnati Reds star finished the 2017 season with a career-high 36 home runs between the Mets and the Cleveland Indians, adding 101 RBI and a .254 batting average in an excellent 2017 campaign.

This offered Mets road jersey is a gray button-down, with “NEW YORK” and Bruce’s number “19” sewn on the chest in “Stars and Stripes” tackle twill. “BRUCE” is sewn across the back shoulders in red tackle twill over a second “Stars and Stripes” “19”. A “Stars and Stripes” MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar, while an American flag patch is sewn on the right sleeve and a Mets logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a Majestic logo. The sides and back tail of this jersey are constructed of a gray mesh fabric. A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the front left tail. Bruce has signed the back of the jersey in black marker, inscribing “19” and “GU HR #21 7-4-17” in addition to his signature. The jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (JC364828) for the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature and inscriptions.
