Bruce connected on his 21st homer of the 2017 season in this game, taking Oliver Perez deep in the top of the ninth inning, plating Asdrubal Cabrera and cutting New York’s deficit to 11-4. This was the 262nd of Bruce’s 318 career home runs. The former Cincinnati Reds star finished the 2017 season with a career-high 36 home runs between the Mets and the Cleveland Indians, adding 101 RBI and a .254 batting average in an excellent 2017 campaign.
