Recently elected Hall of Famer Derek Jeter had a milestone season in 2012 when he passed two Hall of Famers on the all-time hit list – Paul Waner and Tony Gwynn. A five-time World Series champion, Jeter would play two more seasons before hanging up his cleats for good following the 2014 season. When Jeter retired, he did so as the Yankees franchise leader in hits with 3,465 and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2020 with nearly 100% of the vote, falling just 1 vote shy of being unanimous.

Jeter wore this home white with navy pinstriped New York Yankees jersey during the 2012 season for the final time during the September 2, 2012 game against the Baltimore Orioles. In that game Jeter drew a walk in four plate appearances as the Yankees fell to the Baltimore Orioles 8-3. This size 48 Majestic jersey has the iconic interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in navy tackle twill. Jeter’s even more iconic number “2” is sewn on the back in the same navy tackle twill with the MLB logo patch sewn on the outside collar. The Majestic tag, along with a “48” and “2012” flag are sewn on the front left tail. Below the Majestic tag is a Yankees bar code tag that reads (0000002364). The Captain has signed his name in blue marker above the interlocking “NY” on the front. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK276101) for the game use and a LOA from JSA for Jeter’s signature.
