Presented is a 1990 Ryne Sandberg signed Rawlings Sporting Goods endorsement agreement. The Hall of Fame Chicago Cubs second baseman signed his name in blue pen on page four of the six-page, 8½ x 14-inch “Player Agreement” dated May 15, 1990 between Sandberg and the Rawlings Sporting Goods Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Sandberg signed his name five additional times on page five, and once more on page six, all in blue pen. He also initialed the document “RDS” in blue pen twice on page three. The agreement is signed by Thomas M. Lyons of Rawlings in blue pen on pages four and six and has an embossed corporate seal and signature from Rawlings controller C.A. Mankowski in black pen on page four. Sandberg established himself as a perennial All-Star and Gold Glove candidate, making 10 consecutive All-Star appearances and winning nine consecutive Gold Gloves from 1983 to 1991. His career .989 fielding percentage was a major-league record at second base when he retired in 1997. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
