By 1957, it was almost a given that when World Series time came around, the New York Yankees would be in it. In 1957, the Yankees won their 23rd American League pennant, finishing a healthy eight games in front of the White Sox. The team was the perfect blend of veterans like Yogi Berra and Enos Slaughter, youngsters Elston Howard and Bill Skowron and, of course, Mickey Mantle who was in the prime of his career and won his second consecutive American League MVP Award.
Offered here is an Official American League William Harridge stamped baseball that has been signed by 29 members of the 1957 World Champion New York Yankees. Signatures on this ball have been penned in blue ink and include Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Casey Stengel on the sweet spot, Whitey Ford (signed Ed Ford), Yogi Berra and Enos Slaughter, along with Gil McDougald, Tom Sturdivant, Bobby Shantz, Bill Skowron, Bob Turley, Tony Kubek, Bob Grim, Hank Bauer, Andy Carey, Tommy Byrne, Don Larsen, Frank Crosetti, Darrell Johnson, Harry Simpson, Charlie Keller, Elston Howard, Johnny Kucks, Al Cicotte and others. This ball comes with a LOA from JSA (BB65841).
