Atlanta Braves reliever Pedro Borbon wore this white Braves home jersey during the 1995 MLB season, his third campaign with the Braves. Borbon provided a reliable option in the Atlanta bullpen in 1995, appearing in 41 games, finishing 19, and maintaining a 3.09 ERA as the Braves stormed to a victory in the World Series over the Cleveland Indians. Borbon made an appearance in Game 4 of the World Series, pitching a scoreless ninth to earn the save in Atlanta’s 5-2 win at Jacobs Field.
The jersey offered in this lot is a white button-down with “Braves” and a tomahawk logo patch sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill. “BORBON” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill above a red and navy tackle twill “51”. A “30 Seasons in Atlanta” patch is sewn on the left sleeve, and a 1995 World Series patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A Wilson tag and a “95” year tag are sewn on the front left tail. The jersey shows light wear and comes with a LOA from noted baseball game used jersey expert William Henderson affirming regular season use in 1995.
