The Heisman Trophy one of the most celebrated awards in all of sports and was first presented in 1935 by the Downtown Athletic Club in New York City. The award was then re-named after one of the pioneers of college football and legendary coach John Heisman after his death to honor him. This collection includes the signatures of 30 Heisman winners on Heisman trading cards and a 1996 Heisman program. The following page includes Billy Vessels (blue pen), Johnny Lattner (blue marker), “Hopalong” Cassidy (blue marker), Paul Hornung (blue marker), John David Crow (black marker), Joe Bellino (black marker), Terry Baker (black marker), John Huarte (black marker), and Mike Garrett (gold marker). Page three includes another Mike Garrett (black marker), Steve Spurrier (black marker), Gary Beban (black marker), Pat Sullivan (black marker), John Cappelletti (gold marker), Archie Griffin (black marker), Tony Dorsett (black marker), Earl Campbell (black marker), and Herschel Walker (black marker). The final page of cards includes Tim Brown (blue marker), two Andre Ware (black marker), Ty Detmer (blue marker), and Desmond Howard (silver marker). The 1996 Heisman Memorial Trophy Award program has five signatures including Larry Kelley (black marker), Angelo Bertelli (blue marker), Glenn Davis (blue marker), Johnny Lattner (black marker), and Joe Bellino (black marker).
