Offered in this lot is a limited-edition Official League Joe DiMaggio portrait baseball signed by a host of Yankee Hall of Famers. This baseball features DiMaggio’s iconic signature on the sweet spot, while the Hall of Famers Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford signed their names on the west panel and Phil Rizzuto signed his name on the east panel with the Rawlings stamp. The signatures have been written in blue pen and this baseball features a portrait of DiMaggio on the panel south of the sweet spot, and a paragraph of text relating to DiMaggio’s career on the panel north of the sweet spot that reads “JOE DIMAGGIO Heralded as one of the greatest baseball players of all-time. He led the Yankees to nine World Series victories in thirteen years, and hit safely for fifty-six consecutive games in 1941. DiMaggio was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955.”.
