Presented is a program from one of the most legendary heavyweight boxing matches of the 20th Century, the Cassius Clay versus Sonny Liston fight of Tuesday, February 25th, 1964 in Miami Beach. Clay, who would announce after the fight he was now to be known as Muhammad Ali, was only 22 years old when he “shocked the world” by becoming the youngest man to take a title from the reigning heavyweight champion. The program has “OFFICIAL SOUVENIR PROGRAM” printed in white in a blue box on the top and “WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP 15 ROUNDS” in red print below with images of both Liston and Clay on the center. “MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION HALL TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1964” is in blue print on the bottom with “DUNDEE-MacDONALD ENTERPRISES, INC.” in white print with a red background on the very bottom. The program was sold for $1.00. Inside is a round-by-round scoring page and a tale of the tape info. A great piece of boxing history.
