Ripken played in 111 games for Baltimore, hitting .230 with four homers, 36 RBI, and 15 doubles as the Orioles won 89 games to finish third in a competitive American League East Division. Ripken, a career .247 hitter, returned to Baltimore in 1996 to play his seventh and final season with the team that employed both his brother and father.
