Baltimore Orioles second baseman Billy Ripken wore this orange Orioles alternate jersey in 1992, in the final year of his first stint with Baltimore. Ripken played in 111 games for Baltimore, hitting .230 with four homers, 36 RBI, and 15 doubles as the Orioles won 89 games to finish third in a competitive American League East Division. Ripken, a career .247 hitter, returned to Baltimore in 1996 to play his seventh and final season with the team that employed both his brother and father.
This offered Orioles jersey is an orange button-down, with “Orioles” and Ripken’s number “3” sewn on the chest in black and white tackle twill. “RIPKEN” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and white tackle twill over a matching orange nameplate. A second “3” is sewn on the back of the jersey, also in black and white tackle twill. A Russell size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail above a “92 - 1” swatch. The jersey shows light wear and comes with a LOA from noted baseball game used jersey expert William Henderson.
