Hall of Fame shortstop Cal Ripken, Jr. wore these black Adidas cleats during the 1989 season. Ripken, in his ninth MLB season, hit 21 homers with 93 RBI as he led the Orioles to an 87-75 record and a second-place finish in the AL East. Ripken made the seventh of his 19 career All-Star Games in 1989. These size 10 ½ cleats display excellent game use and are made of a combination of black leather, synthetic leather and nylon and three orange stripes on each side. The top of the heels are orange with the Adidas word mark and logo printed in black. The soles are a hard rubber material and have six metal spikes. Ripken has signed each cleat in faded gold marker on the outside heels and these come with a LOA from J.T. Sports for the game use and individual LOAs from Beckett Authentication for the signatures.
