Although best known for his 2,632 consecutive games played streak, Cal Ripken Jr holds another streak record that will most likely never be surpassed – 8,243 consecutive innings played. That streak was ended on September 14, 1987, but his quest for Lou Gehrig’s record resumed when he was in the lineup the next day. This Louisville Slugger F149 bat dates from Ripken’s 1987-1988 seasons and shows excellent use with a crack in the upper handle. There are ball marks and stitch impressions present on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B24795) for the game use and has been graded a GU 7.5 and a STICKER ONLY from MEARS (306118).
