Offered in this lot are two vintage baseball gloves dating back to the early history of baseball. The first item is a fielder’s glove. This glove is made of dark brown leather with short fingers and a stringed web. The glove displays considerable use with some cracking also being displayed on the inside by the button wrist strap and other abrasion marks and stains that remain throughout. The second glove is a MAJOR LEAGUE OLYMPIAN M525 catcher’s mitt. This mitt is made of a tan-colored leather and has a wrist strap buckle. The outsides have rawhide lacing and the webbing also has rawhide laces. This glove displays excellent use.
