Offered here is a Louisville Slugger D125 model bat that was used by Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry. The bat dates to the 1980-83 seasons by the game used experts at MEARS, but can be easily pinpointed to being used by Perry during the 1981 season with the Atlanta Braves. Between 1980 and 1983, Perry’s only stint in the National League where pitchers exclusively batted was in 1981 with Atlanta. This bat displays excellent game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. Perry’s number “36” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and Perry has signed his name in black marker on the barrel and inscribed below “1981 Braves My Game Bat”. This bat comes with a LOA from MEARS (315972) for the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
