Offered is a 1955 Tom Gola La Salle College NCAA Basketball Championship Tournament Second Place Award. The 1 x 9 x 13-inch wood plaque with bronze-colored metal medallion and award has the “National Collegiate Basketball Championship” medallion at the top center and the award “17th Annual Tournament ’55 Second Place” in the lower center above the NCAA logo. After leading his La Salle Explorers to the 1952 National Invitational Tournament title and the 1954 NCAA Tournament championship, Gola and La Salle finished as runner-up in the 1955 NCAA Tournament to the University of San Francisco. This item comes with a LOA from the Gola family.
