Offered is a lot of three Ted Williams signed Boston Red Sox framed items. The first item in this lot is a Ted Williams signature in gray graphite pencil in the lower center of a limited edition 18 x 24-inch lithographic print of a collage celebrating the Hall of Fame Boston Red Sox left fielder’s career both in Major League Baseball and in the U.S. Armed Forces. The print is inscribed by the artist, Elins, in gray graphite pencil in the lower right margin. The print is inscribed “50/406” in gray graphite pencil in the lower left margin.

The second item in this lot is a Ted Williams signature and inscription in blue marker at the upper left of a limited edition 20 x 26-inch color litho print “The End of an Era”. Williams signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “1936-1960” below his signature. The artist, Lewis Watkins, signed his name in gray graphite pencil in the lower right margin. The print is inscribed “369/521” in gray graphite pencil in the lower left. The print reproduces a 1991 Watkins painting of the exterior of Fenway Park, along with a portrait of an older Williams at the left foreground, two vignettes in the upper right of Williams at bat, and a portrait of Williams as a San Diego minor leaguer in the lower right. The print bears the legend “The End of An Era San Diego Padres, 1936 through September 28, 1960 Fenway Park, Home Run 521” printed in black type at the lower center. The Williams-signed and inscribed print is mounted in a navy-blue matte and displayed in a 27 x 32½-inch white painted wood with glass frame. This item comes with a COA from Watkins.

The third item in this lot is a Ted Williams signature in a commemorative framed collage celebrating the career of the “Splendid Splinter”. Williams signed his name in blue marker on the lower center of an 8 x 10-inch color publicity photo of the young star in a white Boston Red Sox uniform. The Williams-signed photo is mounted at the upper left of a black with white accents matte. Mounted to the right is an 18 x 20-inch black & white litho print of a 2000 illustration of Williams in three vignettes. The artist, Ralph Stephen Simon, signed his name in gray graphite pencil in the lower right of the print. Below the photo is a carved number “9” in white on black, while across the bottom are the carved letters “Ted Williams” in white on black. The Williams-signed photo and the print are displayed in a 31 x 36-inch black and brown woodgrain plastic and clear plastic frame. This entire lot has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
