Three months after Apollo 11 astronauts planted a flag on the moon, the 1969 New York Mets even more improbably planted a world's championship at Shea Stadium, as the "Amazin's" overcame preseason 100-1 odds to win the National League Eastern Division, the National League pennant and, in a five-game upset of the Baltimore Orioles, the World Series. We are offering a 20 x 24-inch black and white team portrait of the Mets taken at Shea during that season (with the 1969 MLB centennial patch visible on the left sleeve of each uniform) with autographs in blue fine marker from 31 members of the club, including Hall of Famers Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan and coach Yogi Berra, as well as notable players as Jerry Koosman, Ron Swoboda, Tug McGraw, Ed Charles (featured in the motion picture "42") and Donn Clendenon. The photograph is mounted with Scotch tape in a picture frame with metal edges, with minor creases on the photo and minor wear and tear on the frame. The photograph has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication Services.
