Pete Rose was known to be one of, if not the best hitter in baseball history. However, Rose was not known for his power as he hit 160 home runs in his 24 seasons. During the September 29th, 1978 game, Rose connected on his 150th career home run when he took Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Jim Bouton deep in the bottom of the second inning at Riverfront Stadium. This was Rose’s last home run of 1978 and 7th of that season. This Official Charles S. Feeney stamped ball shows moderate use with some abrasion and dirt marks and is evenly toned. The stampings are still clear and this ball comes with a COA from the Cincinnati Reds stating that Rose hit his ball for a home run on September 29th, 1978 off of Jim Bouton. Additionally, there is a LOA from MEARS (317690) for the game use.
