Brett Gardner was in his first full season as a New York Yankee when he helped the Bombers to win their latest World Series title in 2009. Based upon factory ordering records, the labeling period and player use characteristics, this bat was used by Gardner in 2009. This un-cracked 33 inch, 30.3 ounce Rawlings 964S block lettered bat shows heavy game use. The barrel has many ball marks and stitch impressions, with several blue ink transfers and some slight checking on the back from repeated ball contact. The handle has a moderate coat of Mota stick while the Rawlings label is heavily coated with pine tar. The model number (964S), the order number (470) and year (09) are stamped on the knob, while the weight "30.5" and name "Gardner" are written on the knob in blue ink. The sweet spot contains a black sharpie "Brett Gardner" signature with the inscription "Game Used 2009 W.S. Champs." Full LOA from PSA/DNA, cert number 1B00485 for the bat, and an LOA signed by Brett Gardner for the signature and inscription. This is a rookie era Brett Gardner game used bat, used during the latest New York Yankee World Series Championship season. Multiple images and LOAs available at goldinauctions.com.
