Former pitcher Scott Erickson spent the 1995 season with the Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles where he combined to go 13-5 with a 4.81 ERA. Erickson was traded from Minnesota to Baltimore during the season and was on the mound when Cal Ripken, Jr. tied Lou Gehrig’s historic consecutive games played streak at 2,130 on September 5th, 1995. While Ripken deservedly stole the show, it was Erickson who had an outstanding game, throwing a complete game three-hit shoutout with 9 strikeouts in the O’s 8-0 win. Erickson wore this Easton EXP815B fielder’s glove during the 1995 season and in Cal’s historic game. This black leather glove displays outstanding game use and has a Reebok label on the fleece-lined wrist strap. Erickson has signed this glove in silver marker and inscribed “GAME GLOVE #2130 9-5-95” and “CAL’S TYING GAME on the palm. This glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00697) for the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
