Presented is the remainder of the Bronko Nagurski collection, including items from the Pro Football Hall of Fame Chicago Bears legend’s career featuring his National Football League 75th Anniversary All-Time Team pin, rare film footage of Nagurski in his Chicago Bears career, and two Super Bowl XVII tickets. The first item in this lot is Nagurski’s National Football League 75th Anniversary All-Time Team pin in a wood presentation case. The diamond-shaped cloisonne pin has the “NFL 75” logo in red and blue on a green, gold and white diamond shaped background, which features a diamond chip in the top center. The pin is mounted on a blue felt base within a 1½ x 3 x 5½-inch brown wood box. The top lid’s interior has a gold metal plaque engraved in black with the legend “Presented to Bronko Nagurski NFL All-Time Team”. The outer lid is engraved in black with the NFL 75 logo. The second item in this lot is a 20½ x 26½-inch and clear plastic framed display commemorating the first Big 10 Football Championship game. The display features a 11 x 14-inch color photograph of the game at the Indiana Convention Center mounted at the upper right of a gray matte with black accents. Mounted below the photo is a 2 x 4-inch silver metal plaque engraved with the caption “Inaugural Big Ten Football Championship Game November 3, 2011 Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Wisconsin 42, Michigan State 39”. At the upper left is mounted a 3½ x 8-inch laminated plastic ticket to the game and the accompanying Big Ten Fan Fest. Mounted below the ticket is a silver metal football-shaped pin engraved with the legend “Inaugural 2011 Big 10 Championship” painted in blue and black.

The third item in this lot is an 18½ x 22½-inch brown wood framed black metal sign engraved with the gold metal Minnesota Vikings “head” logo, the caption “Vikings” in the upper right, and the outline of the state of Minnesota with an engraved “M” at the center, in the lower left.  The fourth item in this lot is a 20 x 22½-inch brown wood with glass framed presentation to Nagurski from the Minnesota Vikings. At the center of the presentation is a three-section illustration of a Minnesota Vikings gold ring engraved with the Vikings “head” logo on one panel and the name “Bronko Nagurski” above, a clear gem with a purple stone in a football design on the top, and the legend “Charter Member NFL Hall of Fame” on another panel. Below the illustration is the caption, in black calligraphy on a white box “To BRONKO NAGURSKI with great pride and sincere appreciation for your contribution to professional football…from the Minnesota Vikings” set against a purple background. The presentation is mounted in a white matte. The fifth item in this lot is a 3M VHS videocassette recording of three of Nagurski’s Chicago Bears games, including the November 21, 1943 game against Washington, the October 22, 1937 game against Detroit, and the November 26, 1936 game against Detroit. The sixth item in this lot is a Sony Betamax videocassette recording of “The Legend of Bronko Nagurski” from June 8, 1993. The seventh item in this lot is a 1½ x 4¼ x 4¼-inch brown wood Pro Football Hall of Fame presentation box engraved “Bronko Nagurski Class of 1963” on the lid.

The eighth item in this lot is Nagurski’s personal collection of stamps, including a sheet of the U.S. Postal Service’s 37-cent commemorative stamp series “Early Football Heroes” featuring Nagurski, Red Grange, Walter Camp and Ernie Nevers. This stamp collection includes several envelopes of loose stamps and first day covers, stored in a 2 x 10 x 13-inch cardboard box. The eighth item in this lot is two gold plastic coins engraved with the ABC Sports logo on one side and the Sugar Bowl stadium on the reverse from the 1969-70 Sugar Bowl game and parade. The ninth item in this lot is two gold metal coins from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio issued in 1983 for the hall’s 20th Anniversary. The 10th item in this lot is a limited edition, library-bound signed copy of “From Milo to Landos” by Nat Fleischer published in 1936. Fleischer signed his name in black fountain pen on an interior presentation page, which is inscribed “81” of an edition of 1,000. The 11th item in this lot is a 10-inch reel of 16-millimeter movie film of Hall of Fame Chicago Bears coach and owner George Halas. The 12th item in this lot is a 12-inch reel of 16-millimeter film “The History of Minnesota Football”. The 13th item in this lot is a copper-colored metal 7-inch letter opener engraved in black with the caption “Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival Enshrinees Civic Dinner July 29, 1983”. The 14th item in this lot is a vintage 78-rpm. Audio recording on Victor records of University of Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne talking to his team on side one and the Notre Dame Marching Band performing the school’s “Victory March”. The 15th item in this lot is a commemorative photo album labelled “Football’s Greatest Weekend National Professional Football Hall of Fame Dedication September 7-8, 1963 Canton, Ohio Bronko Nagurski” in gold letters on the brown leatherette album cover. The 16th item in this lot is a limited edition Bronko Nagurski commemorative porcelain plate in a framed display. The plate features an illustration of Nagurski running on the field in his University of Minnesota uniform painted on the front, and the legend “The Bronk” by Artist Richard Nichols First in a Collector’s Series of Gopher Gridiron Greats” issued by the school in 1985. The plate is inscribed “5” in gold pen of an edition of 10,000 and comes with a COA. The plate is displayed in a six-sided 2 x 14-inch brown wood with glass shadowbox. This lot also includes a selection of loose paper documents, photographs and posters, as well as unlabeled record albums, ticket sleeves and baseball memorabilia. There is also a selection of NFL player contracts and memorandum.
