James Madison, the fourth President of the United States, has signed this personal check. This Bank of Columbia check was signed by Madison in 1813, directly in the middle of his Presidential terms. Madison served as President from 1809 to 1817. The Federalist Papers author added over 23 million acres of land to the United States during his term as Commander-in-Chief and is regarded very favorably by historians. This check is for the value of $100.00 and features black pen handwriting by Madison. Madison has signed the check in the same black pen. The check shows minor wear due to age but is in visually pleasing condition. The check comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
