Hall of Famer Larry Bird retired from the Boston Celtics following the 1992 NBA season and after he won gold for the USA Dream Team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Bird, who played for the Celtics from 1979-1992 won 3 NBA titles, 3 NBA MVP’s, 2 NBA Finals MVP’s, was a 12-time All-Star and a member of 9 All-NBA First Teams. On the night of February 4th, 1993, the Boston Celtics paid tribute to Larry Legend by hosting “Larry Bird Night” at the famed Boston Garden. Offered here are six items from that event. The first item is a 20-inch-long green canvas duffle bag that has “Larry Bird Night” printed in white with an image of a white Celtics 33 jersey below. The straps are white and has an OFFICIAL LICENSED NBA PRODUCT logo flag attached.

The next item is a size XL white t-shirt that has “LARRY BIRD NIGHT” printed in green and yellow with “BOSTON” and “GARDEN” printed below, along with a caricature image of Bird in his white Celtics jersey standing in front of Boston Garden and his 1981, 1984 and 1986 Championship Banners below. “FEBUARY 4, 1993” is printed in green on the bottom. The back has the “SALEM SPORTSWEAR” logo. The jersey displays slight toning. Also included is a mini Wheaties box with the cereal still in it. The box ahs Bird on the cover and has collapsed sides. There is a fold-out Balfour pamphlet introducing a Larry Bird coin, an 8 ½ x 11-inch Upper Deck Larry Bird career stats “Retirement Ceremony Boston Garden February 4, 1993” card. This card displays edge and corner wear along with some bowing and crease marks. The final item is a Collector’s Edition “BIRD A BASKETBALL LEGEND” publication made specifically for Larry Bird Night. This publication is fittingly 33 pages and displays wear.
