Offered is a lot with the remainder of Hall of Fame basketball legend Tom Gola’s career including photographs, programs and memorabilia. The first item in this lot is copy of Dell Basketball 1955 yearbook magazine with a color photograph of Gola in a blue with yellow La Salle jersey shooting a basketball against a white background with the headline “Why They All Pick Tom Gola”. The second item in this lot is a copy of “The Wigwam” game program for the National Basketball Association double-header at Philadelphia’s Convention Hall on January 2, 1958 featuring the Philadelphia Warriors vs. St. Louis Hawks and the New York Knickerbockers vs. Syracuse Nationals. The third item in this lot is a copy of the “Palestra Illustrated” souvenir program for the National Collegiate Basketball Championship Eastern Regional Finals featuring Villanova, Canisius, LaSalle and Princeton played March 11-12, 1955 at the University of Pennsylvania’s Palestra. The cover features a black & white photo of Gola. The fourth item in this lot is a program from Madison Square Garden for the New York Knickerbockers vs. Cincinnati Royals matchup on March 12, 1963, featuring Gola and Oscar Robertson on the cover.

The fifth item in this lot is a program from the March 17, 1966 Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks game at Philadelphia’s Convention Hall, which was celebrated as “Tom Gola Night” for the former Philadelphia college and pro star playing his last NBA game in Philly as a member of the Knicks. The sixth item in this lot is “The Official NCAA Basketball Guide 1955” digest-sized paperback featuring LaSalle’s Gola in a black & white cover photograph. The seventh item in this lot is a copy oof the Winter 1998-99 issue of “La Salle” magazine featuring a color photo of Gola standing in front of the college’s basketball arena re-dedicated to its most famous alumnus. The eighth item in this lot is a copy of the LaSalle basketball program from November 21, 1998 for the dedication of the Gola Arena, along with a ticket stub to the game against Howard University and a separate dedication program booklet.  The ninth item in this lot is the game program from the “Third Annual North-South Cage Classic” played June 16, 1951 at Murray State College in Kentucky.

The 10th item in this lot is a 6½ x 10½-inch four-page program book for the 9th Annual Enshrinement Dinner at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Agawam, Massachusetts on April 26, 1976, during which Gola was inducted. The multi-signed program includes signatures in blue pen from Red Auerbach, Bob Cousy, Bil Sharman, Dolph Schayes and others. The 11th item in this lot is a 10½ x 12½-inch black & white photograph of Gola, dressed in an overcoat, suit and tie, holding a travel bag, standing on the court at Philadelphia’s Convention Hall. The 12th item in this lot is an 8 x 10-inch black & white publicity photo of Gola in a white LaSalle basketball jersey on a basketball court shooting a foul shot. The 13th item in this lot is an 8 x 10-inch black & white United Press International wire service photo with caption of Gola in a New York Knicks warm-up shirt kneeling on the court with the caption, datelined Cincinnati December 6, 1962 “Tom Gola, newest member of the New York Knickerbockers…”. The 14th item in this lot is an 8 x 10-inch black & white 1961-62 Philadelphia Warriors team photo with caption, with five signatures of Gola’s teammates including Paul Arizin, York Larese, Frank Radovich, Ted Luckenbill and Joe Ruklick. The 15th item in this lot is a 1998 black & white photograph of Gola posed with his son and daughter in front of a trophy case at LaSalle’s Tom Gola Arena. This lot comes with a LOA from the Gola family.
