Presented is a 1955-1956 Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz signed and framed check collage with photograph of the famous Hollywood couple. The top center of the display features an 8 x 10-inch color publicity photo of the married co-stars of the hit sitcom, “I Love Lucy” posed together with Lucy at left and Desi at right. The photo is mounted in a Columbia blue with white accents matte. Mounted below the photo is a Desi Arnaz signature in black marker at the lower right of a 3 x 7-inch yellow paper check from California Bank on Arnaz’s business account, in the amount of $1,066 payable to Ranch San Antone, dated April 28, 1955. Mounted at the bottom center is a “Lucille Ball Arnaz” signature in black fountain pen at the bottom right of a 3 x 8-inch green paper check from Bank of America in the amount of $144.30 made payable to Willie Mae Barker, dated March 12, 1956 on her joint account with Desi. The two signed check and photo are displayed in a 15 ½ x 25 ½ -inch black wood with glass frame. Lucy and Desi co-starred in the hit sitcom that originally aired on CBS from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, with a total of 180 half-hour episodes spanning six seasons. The then-real-life husband-and-wife co-starred as husband and wife on the show but divorced in 1960. They co-owned a production company, Desilu, until they sold it to Paramount Pictures in the late 1960s, where they produced “I Love Lucy” and subsequent Lucy-starring TV shows, as well as the hits “The Untouchables”, “Star Trek”, “Mannix” and “Mission: Impossible” TV series.
