Offered in this lot is a presidential appointment document signed by Warren G. Harding. Harding, the 29th President of the United States, served from 1921 until his death in 1923. This offered document, from 1922, appoints Archibald E. Patterson as the postmaster for the town of Orangeville in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Orangeville, in the shadow of Knob Mountain, boasted 508 inhabitants as of the 2010 United States Census. This document was signed by Harding on January 21st of 1922 in black pen. It was also signed by William H. Hays, the postmaster general. The document is matted to the dimensions of 17 x 20 inches and is in good condition.
