Offered in this lot is a Naval appointment document signed by William Howard Taft in 1911. Taft, the 27th President of the United States, served from 1909 to 1913. In this document, Taft appoints Vaughn K. Coman as a lieutenant in the United States Navy. The document was signed on May 22nd, 1911 by Taft and George von Lengerke Meyer, the secretary of the Navy, in black pen. The document is in good condition. It has been matted to the dimensions of 19 x 22 inches. It comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
