The Hall of Fame centerfielder Mickey Mantle has signed this 1951 Mitchell & Ness New York Yankees home jersey. Mantle, a rookie in 1951, led the Yankees to a World Series title in his inaugural season after slashing .267/13/65 in 96 games. Mantle won a total of seven World Series with the Yankees, and made 20 American League All-Star teams in his mythic career. The Oklahoma native was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. This offered Yankees jersey is a pinstriped white button-down, with “NY” sewn on the chest in navy felt. Mantle’s number “7”, worn during the second half of his rookie season, is sewn on the back of the jersey in navy felt. An American League Golden Anniversary patch is sewn on the left sleeve. Mantle has signed the chest of the jersey in blue marker, inscribing “No. 7” below his iconic signature. This jersey comes with a LOA from JSA.
