Signed on the eve of his remarkable 1949 MVP season, this attractive Jackie Robinson cut autograph is not only signed in strong black ink by the Hall of Famer, but he also has the added notation of “Jan 16, 1949 Brooklyn N.Y. Brooklyn Dodgers Baseball Club Second Base”. While any Jackie Robinson autograph is special in and of itself, to see one from this early in his career on which he notes his team, date and position is truly unique. The page has aged with time and has a warm patina. The original owner has removed the 3” x 5” page from a book and typed Robinson’s name, city and date. PSA/DNA has graded the autograph a Gem MT 10.
