2001 was supposed to be the dominant Yankees fourth consecutive World Series Championship, a feat only the New York Yankees had done prior.  Up 3 games to 2 in one of the most incredible World Series to date, the Arizona Diamondbacks behind the likes of Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling bounced back to stun the Yankees, leaving fans with a feeling that hadn’t been felt in nearly five years.  The 2001 Yankees team however included some of the biggest names and the team signed baseballs are still very desirable.  This lot includes (6) 2001 New York Yankees baseballs Team signed that include signatures of Hall of Famers Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera, and Roger Clemens.  Also included on the baseballs are signatures of Paul O’Neill and others that have been deemed clubhouse which include Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Bernie Williams, Mike Mussina and Alfonso Soriano.  The baseballs are relatively white with minor toning, while the signature strength varies from ball to ball and signature to signature with some bold and elegant and others fading and or bleeding.  The baseballs come from the collection of Gene Michael and the signatures have been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.

Lot of (6) 2001 New York Yankees American League Champions Team Signed Baseballs (Beckett PreCert)
