Barry Bonds is the all-time home run leader in Major League Baseball with 762 in his career that spanned 22 seasons. The seven-time MVP and 14-time All-Star spent his first seven years with the Pirates and hit 176 home runs and stole 251 bases in Pittsburgh. These black and yellow cleats were worn by Bonds during his rookie season in 1986. That year saw Bonds his 16 home runs and stole 36 bases over 113 games. The size 10-1/2 spikes are black with yellow Nike “swoosh” logos on either side, and a yellow area with “NIKE AIR” written in black on the back. Each cleat has “B. Bonds” handwritten spanning either side of the “NIKE AIR”. The cleats show evidence of heavy use including some separation of the sole on the right cleat. These spikes are a great complement to the 1986 Bonds rookie game worn jersey elsewhere in this auction.
