Much to the consternation of National League pitchers, Stan Musial's career seemed destined to never end. In 1961, Stan's 20th in the big leagues, he hit .288 and followed it up with .330, third best in the league. At 41 he also was the oldest man to hit three homers in one game. 1963 was his final season and upon retiring, Stan Musial held a staggering 17 MLB records, including most career extra base hits. Stan The Man's Hillerich & Bradsby model M159 bat shows light use and is uncracked. Several ball and stitch impressions are seen on the barrel, as are black ink transfers from ball contact. Green bat rack streaks are visible on the handle. Surface staining and general scuffing give this Musial bat character. Model number "M159" is stamped into the knob and the weight "31" is hand written in pencil. Stan's famed number "6" is on the knob end in aged black marker. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a grade of GU 7.
