Joey Votto, one of Major League Baseball’s most complete all-around players today, won the National League MVP in 2010, a Gold Glove in 2011 and is a four-time All-Star for the Cincinnati Reds.
This white button-down "CANADA" jersey from the 2013 World Baseball Classic was worn by Votto in a 9-4 loss to the United States in first-round play on March 10, 2013. Votto went 1-for-3 in the game with two walks and a pair of runs. The jersey features “CANADA” across the chest, “VOTTO” across the back and his number “19” on both sides all in red-on-black tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a “Majestic 2013 World Baseball Classic” manufacturer’s tag with a “Majestic COOL BASE” and size “52” tags stitched into the left seam. The left sleeve and back collar both feature World Baseball Classic logo patches while the right sleeve features a Canadian flag patch. The jersey exhibits heavy signs of game use, highlighted by large dirt staining from the chest to stomach area of the piece. The jersey comes with MLB Authentication number BC062263.
