Offered here is a game used silver New England Patriots helmet worn by 6-time Pro Bowler Bruce Armstrong. Armstrong played his entire career with the Patriots having been drafted with the 23rd pick of the 1st round in the 1987 NFL Draft out of Louisville. Armstrong played in 212 games and was primarily an offensive tackle. This helmet displays outstanding game use with numerous scratches and abrasion marks and was gifted by Armstrong to former NFL wide receiver Irving Fryar, who was Armstrong’s teammate in New England from 1987-1992. The facemask is red with four horizontal bars and one center bar. “PATRIOTS” is printed in blue on a white background that is affixed to the forehead facemask holder. The Patriots “Flying Elvis” logo decal is affixed to both sides of the helmet. The back of the helmet has Armstrong’s retired number “78” in blue stickers with the NFL logo decal to the left of the numbers. The interior padding and Riddell chin strap are still intact. Armstrong signed this helmet in black marker at the back base and inscribed above “Irving: We may not be on The same But we Always Be Locker Mates!! All My Best”. This helmet comes with a LOA from Irving Fryar, an a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA06171) for the signature, and an LOA from MEARS (317746) for the game use.
