Tom Murphy was a star end on the 1929 Notre Dame National championship team, and put together this scrapbook of his years at the school. Included are vintage pictures of Murphy as a child attending Notre Dame games at West Point, so it was a foregone conclusion he would attend the school. There are 56 total pages with dozens of newspaper clippings, photos, telegrams and various tickets to events, including a 1933 Notre Dame - Army stub. After his Notre Dame career ended, Murphy appeared to also play and coach basketball in South Bend, with multiple photos of the former Rockne player with his teams. There are also a dozen or so newspaper images of Rockne, plus one original photograph with Rockne in the background at a football practice. There are too many items to list, but the entire scrapbook would be fun reading on one of those snowy days up in South Bend.
