Always the gentleman, George Steinbrenner was always a fan of the personalized note. Here is a personalized birthday greeting send to non other than famous actor Mickey Rooney! If at first you don't succeed...try, try again! That must of been the theme here as Big Stein attempted to send the birthday greetings out on September 23, 2002 (Rooney was born on September 25, 1920), but the letter came back, so it was resent on October 23rd, where we assume it finally reached Mickey. The note reads "Mickey Happy Birthday and many, many more From an admirer and friend George Steinbrenner". The envelope has the return address on the front of Legends Field in Tampa, while the reverse has Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Anyway, this is a true one-of-a-kind item sent from one legend to another. Comes with a COA from JSA.
