This is a classic image of Joe DiMaggio, who has posed for the photographer on the steps of the visiting teams dugout. An original Type 1 photo measuring slightly less than 8 x 10-inches, this Yankee issued image has been used countless times when referencing DiMaggio is newspaper stories and remains one of his most well-known DiMaggio images of all time. It ranks right behind his classic 1941 "The Swing" photo. Since it was a team issued photo, the back is clean with nary a grease marker notation or stamp, and remains in a staggering Excellent-Mint (or better) condition. Likely taken by legendary Yankee photographers Bob Olen or Don Wingfield. PSA/DNA encapsulated as 1940s Type 1.
