Julius Jones enjoyed a brief seven-year career in the NFL that included stops in Dallas, Seattle and New Orleans. The Notre Dame product rushed for 5,068 yards and 22 touchdowns while averaging four yards per carry in the pros.
This blue Seattle Seahawks game used home jersey was worn by Julius Jones in his first year with the team, when he ran for nearly 700 yards and two touchdowns as part of a backfield committee. Jones’ number “22” appears on the front, back and shoulders of the jersey in white-on-black tackle twill. “Reebok” and Seahawks logo patches are stitched onto both shoulders, while the neck has been cut and expanded from tailoring for Jones, leaving just half of the NFL logo patch visible. The inner collar of the fitted mesh jersey features two white strip tags that read “06-44” and “S,” indicating the jersey’s year and size. A Seahawks team shop bar code also appears on the inner collar. “SEAHAWKS” is stitched in white below the neck of the jersey and “JONES appears across the back in white tackle twill on a blue name plate. The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use and appears to be all original. The jersey comes with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
