A Super Bowl victory eluded Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway for most of his career. Having appeared in three Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos, it was not until his last two seasons in the NFL when Elway finally got to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Elway would win back-to-back Super Bowls with fellow Hall of Famer running back Terrell Davis, defeating the Green Bay Packers 31-24 in Super Bowl XXII at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, on January 25, 1998. Davis earned Super Bowl XXXII MVP honors on his 157 rushing yards and a record three rushing touchdowns. Elway earned Super Bowl MVP honors during the Broncos 34-19 win over the Atlanta Falcons on January 31, 1999, at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida. Elway passed for 336 yards and one touchdown, including a key 80-yard touchdown pass to Broncos wide receiver Rod Smith that helped bury the Falcons under a 14-point deficit they could never surmount.

Presented here are a lot of two items consisting of a full-sized Super Bowl helmet signed by Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway and Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis and a signed canvas featuring NBA Hall of Fame and basketball legend Magic Johnson and Terrell Davis. The first item in this lot is a metallic navy Riddell helmet commemorating the back-to-back Super Bowl victories by the Denver Broncos. The helmet features a navy metal facemask with a plastic “RIDDELL” tag affixed to the front of the helmet. An orange stripe runs the length of the helmet. A sticker labeled “SUPER BOWL XXXIII SUNDAY, JANUARY 31, 1999-MIAMI, FLORIDA BRONCOS-34 FALCONS-19” is located on the right side of the helmet, and Elway, the Super Bowl XXXIII MVP, signed and inscribed the number “7” with a silver metallic paint pen just above the sticker. The left side of the helmet features a “SUPER BOWL XXXII SUNDAY JANUARY 25, 1998 SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA BRONCOS 31 PACKERS 24” with Davis, the Super Bowl XXXII MVP, signed and inscribed the number “30” with a silver metallic paint pen just above the sticker. The helmet features some scratches, the smudging of Davis’ signature, and some minor peeling of the stickers. The signed and inscribed Super Bowl XXXII Super Bowl XXXIII helmet comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (AH06306).

The second item is a 33 x 25-inch canvas poster featuring NFL Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis and NBA Hall of Fame Los Angeles Laker Magic Johnson. The canvas poster features an image of Davis and Johnson shaking hands against a backdrop of images from their days playing in the NBA and NFL, respectively. The five-time NBA champion and three-time NBA MVP signed over his own image with a black marker. Two-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl XXXII MVP signed the canvas on the bottom of his image with a black marker. The canvas displays multiple folds, some fraying of the canvas on the edges, and some curling on the top and bottom of the canvas. The signed and inscribed canvas comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (AH06305).
