Hall of Fame catcher Mike Piazza had a solid 1994 season following his 1993 National League Rookie of the Year Award. Piazza played in 107 games of the strike-shortened season and hit 24 home runs with 92 RBI and a loft .319 batting average. Piazza collected 129 hits, which also included 18 doubles. Piazza wore this home white button-down Dodgers jersey during the 1994 season. This Rawlings size 48 jersey has the famed “Dodgers” script and paraph across the chest in blue tackle twill. Piazza’s number “31” is sewn on below in red tackle twill. The Rawlings tag, along with a “T” patch and “SET 1 1994” flag is sewn on the inside back center tail. The right sleeve has the “125th ANNIVERSARY” MLB patch sewn on. The back has “PIAZZA” and “31” sewn on in blue-on-white tackle twill and this jersey displays moderate game use with some staining. Piazza has signed his name in blue below his number on the back and inscribed next to his name “ROY 93”. Piazza also inscribed “To Big Joe, My Best Always” to the left of the “3” on the back. Also handwritten in fine-tipped blue marker on the inside front center tail is “319 Avg. 24 H.R. 92 R.B.I.”. This jersey comes with a LOA Beckett Authentication (AA0700) for the signature and an LOA from Bob Case, who was the manager of late Casey Stengel and acquired this jersey during his time in baseball.
